Congratulations to the James Logan World Guard for bringing home bronze medals from this year's WGI Color Guard World Championships in Dayton, OH! On Saturday evening, the Logan World Guard preformed their winter program "Pressure" and was awarded a score of 94.15 to earn the third-place title in the Scholastic World Class finals competition.
It has been a long week of travel and rehearsals for all involved. On Thursday and Friday, the Logan World Guard claimed first and third place finishes in preliminary and semi-finals competitions to earn them a position in Saturday's finals competition.
We are all very proud to have the World Guard represent James Logan High School at the WGI Championships and, we have great admiration for their skill, precision and dedication to the Logan Color Guard program.
We also wish to thank the Color Guard staff, directed by Mark Metzger, for their creativity, tireless rehearsing and refining of the show and, for their total devotion to the success of our guard students.
Much appreciation also goes to the Logan Boosters who provided logistical support to the students and staff at every color guard event this year.
And finally, we offer our most sincere gratitude to the families, friends and alumni who generously donated money and time to the Boosters and to the Logan Band and Color Guard program.
We are looking forward to seeing the group back at home when they can hopefully relax a bit, until the fall marching season.
Safe travels and Congratulations once again!
